AP Exam Registration

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses.  Scoring well on an AP exam can often provide college credit for a course and save a significant amount on tuition.

For the 2026 AP exams, students at Marietta High School will register online.  Online exam registration open on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 and will close on Monday, Nov 10, 2025 at 8:00 PM.  The registration link will re-open after November 15, 2025 to allow late requests to take an AP exam.  The AP exam registration is a two-step process, but both can be completed in one sitting with the student and parent/guardian together.  Both steps must be completed in order to have AP exams ordered:

Step 1: Begin the process by registering at www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/111990.  Here you will indicate both the AP courses you are taking this year and the exams you wish to take.  You will receive your join codes and directions to complete the second required step.  Any exam fees will be paid online so be sure to have a debit card or credit card available before beginning registration.  Paying online is a great way to make sure that payment has been made while avoiding mailing payment.
Step 2: Use the join codes provided at the completion of step one to enroll the student's AP courses and exams in the College Board's system.

Important dates to remember:

October 7, 2025:  Registration opens

October 20, 2025:  Date by which a student can receive a full refund for classes that begin before November.

November 10, 2025:  Final payment due on Total Registration site and registration closes.  Registration closes to confirm/reconcile all exam registrations before submitting to College Board.

November 13, 2025:  College Board AP exam order submitted.

November 16, 2025:  Registration link will re-open with College Board late fees included for exams.

November 16, 2025:  College Board will charge a late fee of $40 for exams for classes that begin before Nov. 16, 2025 and are ordered after this date.

November 16, 2025:  College Board will charge a cancellation fee of $40 for exams for classes that begin before November 16, 2025 that are cancelled after this date.  Students will be held accountable for any late fees associated with cancelling an AP exam after this date.

March 9, 2026:  Registration closes for all AP exam orders.
