Marietta High School Alumni Society Names Colburn 2008 Distinguished AlumnusMarietta High School Alumni Society has selected Marietta High School Principal, Leigh Colburn as the recipient of the 2008 Distinguished Alumnus Award. Colburn received the award October 12 at the MHS Alumni House "Open House", and will be recognized during the MHS 2008 Homecoming Game at Northcutt Stadium on October 17 at 7:30 p.m. The annual Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes an outstanding MHS graduate chosen by a selection committee made up of Alumni Society members. Membership Information
Membership dues from the Society are directed toward the Employee Incentive Awards, which are given annually to teachers and support staff that demonstrate the best in educational practices. Levels of membership are:
- Elementary $15
- Freshman $25
- Sophomore $50
- Junior $75
- Senior $100
- Principal's Club - $500 or more total giving
- Superintendent's Club - $1,000 or more total giving
- BOE Club $2,500 and above
- Chairman's Club $5,000 and above
