2010 System Teacher of the Year

Marie Sherbondy is a math teacher and math department chair at Marietta High School. She works with the School Governance Team, School Improvement Committee, and the KSU Mathematics Advisory Council. She is also a REACH mentor and mentors new teachers.

Average SAT Scores Exceed Both State and National Mean in All Areas Tested
Marietta High School’s (MHS) student’s total combined average scores on the 2009 Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT®) exceeded the Georgia total mean in Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing by 54 points at 1514. Compared to the national total mean, MHS scores exceeded the U.S. score by five points. MHS also outpaced the national total mean scores in Critical Reading and Mathematics, and were on par with the nation in Writing. More »

2009 ACT Scores Outpace State and National Averages
