Our design focuses on a a main street concept that places public facilities such as the theater, gymnasium, fitness facilities and administrative offices toward the front. Academic facilities are located toward the back of the school, anchored by the cafeteria and media center. The four classroom wings are generally divided by academic focus---the ninth grade "school-within-a-school," career tech, math and science, and humanities.

Marietta High School was established in 1892, having six locations in the City of Marietta during a period of over 100 years: Kennesaw Avenue, Waterman Street, Lemon Street, Winn Street, Haynes Street and Whitlock Avenue. Today, our hallways are named after these streets.

With a student body of over 1,975, we proudly fly the flags of 42 countries, representing the birth nations of these students. The makeup of our enrollment is 48% Black, 26% White, 19% Hispanic and 7% other ethnic. This diverse population and the desire of our students and faculty to come together as a complete school community are part of what makes Marietta High School great.
